Who We Are
Make Digital Simple is run by Mark Seton who has been involved in the design and development of web sites since the late 1990’s.
Starting off as a hobby from home Mark developed his skill creating fan sites for rock bands he enjoyed.
This hobby became his work when he was appointed CGU’s (the Insurance company formed from the merger of General Accident and Commercial Union and, following the merger with Norwich Union, is now known as Aviva) first Web Design Executive in 1997 working on the companies own web sites and being involved in the development of one of the first online car insurance’s first quotation comparison web sites.
our Experience
Taking voluntary redundancy from CGU in 1999 Mark set up his own limited company – Webmarquetry Limited which built web sites for customers as large as Sony as well as small one man businesses like the web music store Inflammable Material.
After 5 years Mark moved on to work for the large US company Pitney Bowes as part of the sales and marketing team that looked after the web site and digital marketing.
Moving on again in 2014 Mark moved to a marine company, Charity and Taylor Ltd where again, he looked after the company web sites and grew the business significantly over the 10 years he was there.
The company, through retirement of the owners, shrunk and now has a large farm as its main activity – Intwood Farm. Mark continues to look after the eCommerce web site for this company to this day.
our Qualifications
Make Digital Simple looks to leverage Mark’s extensive knowledge of large and small businesses to grow those businesses via Digital Marketing.
Mark holds the CertDigM (Certificate of Digital Marketing) from the Digital Marketing Institute.
In his spare time Mark is an avid photographer and holds the LRPS (Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society) and CPAGB (Certificate of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain) so is well set to help you with any photographic requirements you may have.
